Testimonial...
Vern,
Great news! I just finished the Snowflake 50k ultramarathon in the mountains of West Virginia. I
finished 2nd overall in 4hr 7 minutes setting a new personal record on the course by several
minutes despite very cold and icy conditions.
I would not have set the new PR if I had not done the Lactate Threshold (LT) testing with you. By
knowing that my LT heart rate was 161 bpm, I was able monitor my pace accordingly. I pushed the
limit. My average was 158 bpm for the duration of the race. With over 5000 ft of climbing, it would
have been easy to misjudge my pace. Thanks again for your help!
